King Size DOUBLE WEDDING RING
Am I crazy or what!!!
This is my first quilt ever. And all by hand.
My quilt holders are my husband and his friend and neither wanted to be seen.

TRIP AROUND THE WORLD
Three inch squares and all by hand, it seemed like
a million sqaures.

LOG CABIN
My favorite and I wish the pc (or camera) showed the wonderful colors in this one.
This was my last for a while as I let it get to costly. I went over board on fabric.
I DID do the top by machine, but I quilted by hand. And in this photo I have only finished the top.
I love this quilt and hope to do another some day just as fabulous.

SPOOL
Just a fun and simple little quilt. All by hand.

As you can tell I prefer doing my quilts by hand. And I do not let them go to anyone.
Well, one or two have gone to my great granddaughter, Ashlynn. She has the SunBonnet Sue appliqued quilt.

Card Weaving

This project I am using 10 cards, but 100 cards can be used at one time. But I am a long way from using too many cards at one time.

Full picture of frame

The thread I use is from the yarn shop.

Kimuhimo disk kit. Use to do this by hand, but I want to do a larger braid in silk. Sorry it is not so clear. Too close and I did not adjust my camera.

Warpped corded basket I did last year.

This onw is in the works. It is 100 % rayon and looks like chenielle

I made this little puppet doll a few years back. The crib is from a kit and I purchased it already made. I did crochet the doll blanket. The pillow is made from Hobby Hollie fabric.

This is a reversible crochet baby blanket. It is about 36 x 36. I used CARON's Simply Soft yarn. There are 13 different colors and the main color is white. It is very thick and heavy. Will be for an older baby.

This is the reverse side. The colors are actually heavier on this side the the other side.

This is my first knitted on a frame afghan Not one of my better choices in colors. Colors are actually better in real!!

These are three scarves done on the BLUE KK loom, the yarn is Italia by Hobby Lobby.

This is The Upstairs Studio or at least part of it and that is the owner Clarice on the right. Dianne on the left is my good crafting friend. Dianne and I have so much in common and love doing our yarny things together.

If you look on the table you can see we are working on a frame for card weaving. A new and wonderful way to weave ribbons for belts, headbands or wrist bands or just embellishments for what ever.

The yarn shop is in LaPorte, Tx, a suburb of Houston. And she has a B&B upstairs.. Wouldn't it be wonderful to take a vacation and stay at the B&B. Spend the days in the yarn shop and the nights upstairs. And there is a wonderful Mexican food resturante in walking distance, also some antiques stores and a couple of tearooms and sandwich shops in the area. If you live in the area of Houston, you are missing out if you don't visit her shop.

Clarice not only is teaching us how to weave ribbons, she is given us a history lesson. I want to soak it all up. Where have I been all my life. LOL! Di and I will be going back for more lessons. We will be taking other lessons in tapestry weaving and basket weaving. And anything else she will teach us!!
