This is The Upstairs Studio or at least part of it and that is the owner Clarice on the right. Dianne on the left is my good crafting friend. Dianne and I have so much in common and love doing our yarny things together.

If you look on the table you can see we are working on a frame for card weaving. A new and wonderful way to weave ribbons for belts, headbands or wrist bands or just embellishments for what ever.

The yarn shop is in LaPorte, Tx, a suburb of Houston. And she has a B&B upstairs.. Wouldn't it be wonderful to take a vacation and stay at the B&B. Spend the days in the yarn shop and the nights upstairs. And there is a wonderful Mexican food resturante in walking distance, also some antiques stores and a couple of tearooms and sandwich shops in the area. If you live in the area of Houston, you are missing out if you don't visit her shop.

Clarice not only is teaching us how to weave ribbons, she is given us a history lesson. I want to soak it all up. Where have I been all my life. LOL! Di and I will be going back for more lessons. We will be taking other lessons in tapestry weaving and basket weaving. And anything else she will teach us!!
