We took our day off and went to the island of Galveston today. It is an island south of Houston on the Gulf of Mexico.
The day was cloudy, but hot. We drove to Moody Gardens, but having the dogs with us we could not get out of SUV. So it was just all sightseeing from inside the truck. We stopped for foot long chili dogs and 'tator tots. at Sonic Drive In.

This is driving towards the busy side of the tourist area. People were swimming, fishing and trying to surf.

We took the ferry to Boliver Island.... absolutely NOTHING there. The ferry ride going was bad, we were stuck between the wall and an 18 wheeler. My side mirror was no more than 2 inches away from the truck.

And what more can I say. It is our Texas Flag.
